About the Artist
Nshan Stambolyan, born in Yerevan, Armenia, moved to the United States at the age of six, where his love for art blossomed early on. Growing up in a world full of visuals, he began drawing and painting at a young age, eventually expanding his creative pursuits into video, photography, and visual effects. His formative years in Los Angeles were shaped by the guidance of renowned artists Samvel Sevada and Vladimir Atanian, who mentored him through individualized art classes, honing his skills and deepening his passion for the arts.
Nshan's journey in visual arts led him to the Art Institute in Santa Monica, where he studied Media Arts and Animation, further refining his craft. His talent soon found a home in the world of film and television, where he worked with some of the most prestigious studios in Los Angeles. Specializing in visual effects and compositing, he brought stunning imagery to life, contributing to iconic projects, including several films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Though his career in visual effects was thriving, Nshan's love for fine art never waned. Over the years, Nshan has developed a deep and meaningful friendship with renowned artist Morgan Weistling. Their collaboration and mutual respect for each other's work have been a powerful influence on Nshan, inspiring him both artistically and personally. Working closely together, Morgan's mentorship and shared creative energy have shaped Nshan's approach to fine art, encouraging him to push boundaries while remaining grounded in tradition.
Today, Nshan continues to create meaningful works of art, specializing in child and family portraits as well as cultural impact pieces. His work is a fusion of technical mastery and emotional depth, capturing moments that resonate with viewers. Nshan lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters, who inspire him daily.
